Harness the Power of Yogic Wisdom with Sanyam
Pratyahara
Aligning the senses towards the inner self. This is a state when the senses don’t engage with the external environment instead turning inwards towards the consciousness. In this state, it is easier to control the senses.
Dharana
Gaining control over concentration. In this state, you observe your mind becoming still. An outcome of meditation is concentration. In the meditative state, you also achieve deep rest which leads to samadhi.
Finding deep rest and connection through meditation. In this state, you observe your mind becoming still. An outcome of meditation is concentration. In the meditate state, you also achieve deep rest which leads to samadhi.
Samadhi
The ultimate state of being- bliss. This is the ultimate state of consciousness. It is a transcending thought. You are only aware of your Self and are connected to your true nature – love, joy, and strength. This is the ultimate goal that we seek to achieve in life.
The Sanyam course offers a deep and immersive journey into the full practice of yoga. Throughout the course, we will explore the eight limbs of yoga, engaging in study, practice, and spiritual experience to truly integrate its essence.
Attitudes toward the environment. These are guidelines for interacting with the external world, helping us cultivate a harmonious life that supports our spiritual journey.
Attitudes towards the inner self. It helps us eliminate the negativity we hold within and transform our habits and thoughts, allowing us to fully enjoy the present moment.
Asana
Asana is more than just physical—it helps develop awareness and prepares the body for deeper meditation. Equilibrium at the physical level enables balance at the mental, intellectual, and, ultimately, spiritual level.
Pranayama
What Participants Experience
“An essential course on the path”
My health, quality of mind, and emotional state have all been at a sustained high even weeks after completing the course. And better yet, I now have a sequenced set of knowledge and steps on how to keep it that way. The energy this has given me has also allowed me to repair damaged relationships and wholeheartedly commit to helping others around me.
Andrew S.
“Simply mind-blowing”
The combination of yoga and meditation made my mind and body feel more relaxed with sense of completion. The knowledge given on yoga and how to deal with mind through body was amazing to learn.
Vanitha T.

“Truly transformative”
Sanyam is the most beautiful course I have ever experienced. It brought me an immense amount of energy and enthusiasm. In the beginning, I had so many questions and complaints in life, but they all disappeared after the course. It was truly transformative and has inspired me to live a better life. I feel like I am born again.
Sanyam is a masterclass in taking the benefits of yoga out of your head, and bringing them into your life.
About Art of Living
The Art of Living Foundation is one of the world’s largest nonprofit organizations, founded in 1981 by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. All courses are based on his philosophy of a stress-free, violence-free society.
Through breathwork techniques like Sudarshan Kriya®, meditation, and yoga, Art of Living reaches people from all walks of life. These practices have helped millions worldwide find greater inner peace and balance.
To support the Art of Living is a chance to contribute to a profound human transformation where peace of mind and energy inspire social work. Rooted in the benefits of the techniques introduced by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, our programs support people in vulnerable situations: women survivors of violence, employment-marginalised youths, prison inmates, and others.
